Of course, keeping animals in captivity brings responsibilities. It’s essential that animals are kept with good animal welfare.

The EU Collective for Animal Husbandry (EUCAH) endeavors to make the keeping of (almost) all species possible, as long as sufficient animal welfare guarantees are built in. Also EUCAH strives to fund in situ conservation projects, as well stimulating projects to breed endangered species ex situ.
